Abed, a German-born Palestinian, was visiting family in Gaza when Hamas attacked Israel on October 7th, killing around 1200 people and taking more than 250 people hostage. Israel responded, killing more than 37,000 Palestinians so far. Trapped for five weeks amidst the chaos, Abed witness multiple deaths and injuries, before managing to leave. To help those he left behind, he's now cycling from Germany back to the Palestinian territories - or as close as he can get - in an attempt to raise 300,000 euros to build a field hospital in Gaza.
