Miami, where designer names already make up a large proportion of the local dialect, now even the city’s own infrastructure is becoming branded. Recent years have seen a boom of various branded residences popping up across the South Florida city, with the likes of Aston Martin and Bentley Motors joining hospitality heavyweights such as Four Seasons and Waldorf Astoria.
The latest to join this stretch of Miami coastline is Mandarin Oriental, which, working with Swire Properties, has launched the sales of the first of The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami. A total of 228 luxury branded residences will be on offer, all housed in an 800ft tower on the island community of Brickell Key, just a mere few moments from Miami’s vibrant center.

Yet the residences form only part of the brand’s ambitious plans to turn this secluded island sanctuary into an unparalleled residential and hospitality destination. The residences are in fact housed in one of two towers on the site, which are connected via a landscaped podium. The South Tower will feature The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, while The North Tower will feature what is destined to be the new North American flagship Mandarin Oriental hotel.
Among the first properties to be listed for sale is the residence's unequivocal crown jewel, its $100m duplex penthouse. Sure, carrying a price tag like that is always likely to pique our interest, but the property’s design is equally bedazzling.

The remarkable penthouse is being offered as a duplex residence or can be sold as two individual penthouses. As a combined duplex penthouse, the property will offer a total of 23,000 sq-ft of space, including 7,000 sq-ft of private outdoor space. Its bespoke floor plan offers the ultimate experience in elevated living and striking design details, with 30-ft-high ceilings, features interiors by designer Tristan Auer, and unrivaled views of the city skyline from almost 800 ft above.
To make the most of the Miami lifestyle, there is an abundance of private outdoor space, with multiple areas of outdoor dining and entertaining, and a sky cabana that can be converted to an additional bedroom. Those fearful of heights, however, maybe sit back as the property's infinity pool boasts as one of the city’s highest.
Other residences available include two-bedrooms starting at $4.9m, three-bedrooms starting at $5.8m, four-bedrooms starting at $10.5m, and five-bedrooms starting at $17.5m
The North Tower, which will feature the new North American flagship Mandarin Oriental hotel – with 121 rooms, a signature Spa at Mandarin Oriental, and multiple intimate fine-dining and al fresco restaurants – will offer an additional 66 private residences and 28 hotel residences, slated to launch sales later this year.
