Elite Traveler Celebrates Summer Issue with Acosta Tequila

Elite Traveler encouraged VIP guests to ‘own the night’ as they celebrated the launch of the Leaders in Luxury issue and a new ultra-premium brand, Acosta Tequila, at an exclusive event in New York City.

The black-tie affair took place at Seven24 Collective, a new private members club located in the Gansevoort Meatpacking Hotel. Attendees were able to browse our bumper summer issue and sample a selection of high-end reposado, joven and anejo tequilas from Acosta.

Frank Acosta, who founded the company in honor of his Mexican heritage, was present and spoke about the craftsmanship behind his eponymous brand. Acosta Tequila is only produced in small batches to maintain an ultra-premium standard in every bottle.

There was also an inspirational message from conservationist Mike Holston, who spoke about Acosta Tequila’s efforts to protect the endangered jaguar. A portion of every bottle sale is donated to jaguar-related causes.

The big cat is revered in ancient Mexican culture, including the Mayans, but today faces threats from deforestation and poaching. Acosta Tequila has partnered with Holston to ensure its proceeds go to effective efforts to preserve jaguar populations in Mexico and beyond.

For those unfamiliar with the art of sipping it straight, expert mixologists were on hand with tailored recipes designed to complement Acosta Tequila’s unique flavor profile.

Corey Zaretsky, Elite Traveler’s senior vice president of multimedia, hosted the event and invited guests to take advantage of Seven24’s private bowling alley and a selection of high-end canapes long into the New York night.
