Chopard at Cannes: A Legacy of Artistry and Cinema

Palme d'Or award

As the excitement builds for the 77th Cannes Film Festival, from May 14 to May 25, Chopard continues its role as the event's official partner, a prestigious title it has held since 1998. Each year, the festival is a spectacle not just of film but a dazzling showcase of exceptional jewelry. Each year, Chopard's dedication to cinematic arts and exceptional jewelry design culminates in the Red Carpet Collection.

The relationship between Chopard and Cannes is rooted in a mutual appreciation for artistry and excellence. The Swiss Maison holds the exclusive privilege of crafting all the trophies for the festival's closing ceremony. From the prestigious Palme d'Or to the spectacular Red Carpet Collection, it is a testament to Chopard's commitment to sustainable luxury crafted from ethically sourced materials.

This year, inspired by 'Contes de Fées' (fairy tales), the collection is a testament to Chopard's creative spirit. Each piece, from tiaras to titanium acorns, is an ode to the enchanted forests and mythical creatures of fairy tales. More than stunning works of art, each item is a portal to storybook worlds designed to charm and enchant the Cannes red carpet.

The Red Carpet Collection: A fairy tale come to life

Celebrating the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, Chopard has unveiled 77 unique creations under the Contes de Fées theme. Each piece of haute joaillerie mastery draws upon a collective fascination with fairy tales, transforming folklore and fantasy into wearable art and encapsulating the awe and wonder of enchanted forests, mystical creatures, and magical realms. These creations not only highlight Chopard's exceptional craftsmanship but also reflect the storytelling spirit of the festival.

The creation of Chopard's 'Contes de Fées' collection is a testament to the Maison's commitment to craftsmanship and innovation in haute joaillerie. By utilizing ethically sourced gold and pioneering the use of titanium, Chopard's artisans are redefining traditional jewelry making. The use of titanium and its lightweight nature allows for larger, more dramatic pieces, while its ability to be anodized to match the vibrant hues of gemstone creates a seamless flow of color and form. Each piece in the collection, the result of months of meticulous labor, showcases a masterful blend of technical skill and artistic vision.
