Forget the strip, skip the casinos, because Macau is entering a new era of elegance, as Capella Hotels and Resorts is set to open its debut property in the region. In partnership with Galaxy Entertainment Group, the 93-room Capella at Galaxy Macau is set to bring some dazzling luxury to the Las Vegas of the East when it opens next year.

What can we expect from the group’s first outpost in the region? Well, the 17-story property is set to be a more intimate, boutique-style experience with just 57 suites and 36 Sky Villas, each promising to be the epitome of luxury. Made for entertaining, the Sky Villas are set to feature a sprawling private terrace featuring an infinity pool, 24-hour butler service, a karaoke room, a private cocktail bar and a games lounge.

Not to mention there are interiors designed by Paris-based designers Bruno Moinard and Claire Bētaille, who inject the Macau outpost with the Capella signature luxe finishes. Intended as an oasis away from Macau’s vibrant cultural center, the art-filled retreat will feature design details that echo Macau's lush tropical landscapes and natural beauty.

One of Hong Kong’s brightest culinary stars, Vicky Cheng, is taking the ferry hop over to Macau to head up Capella at Galaxy Macau’s signature restaurant. Lauded for his skillful melding of French techniques with modern Chinese flavors, the restaurant is already set to be the most anticipated opening in the region.

Playing its contribution to Macau’s cultural capital, Capella at Galaxy Macau presents a bold new take on The Living Room, set to cement the property’s standing as Macau’s cultural hub. Pony & Plume, a member-only al fresco longe inspired by equestrian polo, will house an extensive range of rare Cuban cigars, served alongside curated cocktails and the finest whiskies

“Capella at Galaxy Macau signifies a pivotal moment for Capella Hotels and Resorts as we expand into The Greater Bay Area,” said the Capella Hotel Group’s vice-chairman, Evan Kwee. “We are excited to introduce travelers to Macau’s rich cultural heritage, delivering thoughtful and enriching experiences while fostering meaningful connections with the local community.”
